If a man tells the truth in a world threaded with lies
Does anyone hear him?
If a man acts on the truth in a world overrun with filth
Does anyone see him?
If a man desires the truth in a world fueled by evil
Does anyone support his cause?
Longing to be free of this world
To breath air untainted by my sin
And the damnable legacy inherited from my forefathers
And to which legacy I also shall contribute
Heresies and betrayals
It is the everyday run of things
That show us for who we are
Spare me your argument
Because we are all guilty
Of choosing the wrong battles
To become martyred for
In the end your pantheism failed
Earth Mother is a block of clay spinning through space
Nothing more
Nothing less
So when you next bow down to worship your idol
Be it your wallet, your car, your mistress, your job, your lifestyle, your god, your devil,
Remember: false idols, graven images merely reflect their creator, and only serve to magnify the worthy damnation of their masters...which is you.
Our lives thrive on rampant conformism, half-truths, and passing the buck
When the lowly creature known as mankind
Gathers at his drug machine
With the rest of the boys
At the glass-paneled executive corral
Raise your styrofoam cups high
And applaud the malfeasance of your leaders
For their unnaturally high levels of stupidity and astonishing immoral acumen.
Folks, it really comes down to this:
We need to own:
Our stupidity
Our culpability
Our direct hand
In magnificently screwing both our own lives and those of our fellow countrymen and women
Because until we do that:
-There is no hope
-There will be no future for us
aside from the fearful expectation of our rightfully deserved judgment and fiery punishment to follow immediately after.
We do NOT need CNN or Moneyline or WSJ or any talking head
To be our guiding light
The damned cannot lead the way to salvation
They only speed others on their way to Hell.
