Fields of Autumn II

This is a series of spontaneous shots taken in a local corn field that was recently harvested. Each shot is "in situ" ; nothing was posed or disturbed in any way. These shots were taken in Northern Lapeer Co., MI.

Nestled amidst
Funereal stalks
I spyed a leaf of curious
Red
Singing its song of seasons wound down

Of festive woods
And rural towns

Of harvesters gleaning
And children screaming

Exulting in their youthfulness
Celebrating the grandest of God's
Four seasons...

So I in comfy stocking cap
Took pains to try and capture that
Fleeting song of ancient rime

Of seasonal change and dormant earth
That awaits the Spring
In due course of Time.
