Here we have a John Deere 764HSD (High-Speed Dozer). Full-size View Recommended!
Scaling out at 34000 lbs (17 short tons), this machine is powered by a JD PowerTech Plus 6068H engine. Turbocharged and air-to-air aftercooled, this engine is rated at 210 net hp @ 1800 rpm, and 704 lb.-ft. of torque @ 1500 rpm.
Power delivery is routed through a variable-speed hydrostatic transmission with (1) Forward gear and (3) Reverse gears, with a maximum speed of 16 mph in either Forward or Reverse.
The double-reduction planetary final drives produce a maximum drawbar pull of 34,000 lbs.
An 11 ft. wide, 3.75 cu. yd., six-way dozer blade is ready for work.
Out back, the 764 comes equipped with a Cat. 4 medium-duty drawbar to allow the pulling of a variety of implements and tools, from sheepsfoot rollers to scrapers.
Of course, the 764HSD comes ready to upfit with Trimble GPS grading systems, or the mfg of your choice.
The machine is sitting on a Etnyre Blackhawk
Classic Series 60 Ton lowboy. This tri-axle trailer weighs in at 23,880 lbs., and is equipped with the optional drop-down 4th axle for greater load capacity versatility. I have several shots of this which offer different angles: Deere: [link]E.D. Etnyre & Co. : [link]
